Donation of sperm operation process
  • Donor threshold

Men with physical and mental health of 20 to 40 years of age cannot have bad  habits such as smoking and drug abuse.

  • Donor registration
  1.   Please call or register online to donate sperm, and the consultant will contact you.

  • Donor screening
  1.  Outpatient health assessment (blood exam, semen analysis requires abstinence for 3-5 days)
  2.  Once the blood report results are qualified, the Center will conduct a donation qualification review to determine the eligibility for donation. It takes about 3 to 4 weeks to wait for the result.
  3.  If you are eligible for donation, the consultant will contact you to make an appointment for the time of returning to the frozen sperm.
  • Arrange for fine extraction
  • Receive nutrition fee

Make sure the donor does not have an AIDS epidemic and receive nutrition after reporting normal

  • Donors notices
  1.  Donors are required to complete the consent form and form in accordance with the law.
  2.  After the sperm donation, only one couple is used. Donations must not be made again if the recipient is successfully pregnant and has a live birth.
  3.  According to Article 19 of the Artificial Reproduction Law: Donors may not request the  return of germ cells after donation. However, after the donation of the donor, the person who has been diagnosed or proven to have a reproductive dysfunction in the future may request to return the undestroyed germ cells.
  4.  The Center only provides the basic information such as the height, weight, blood type and education of the donated donors, and the other scholars’ personal resources will not be provided.

  2.  Please bring the following relevant documents:

    • Fill in the information and donation consent form.
  • Donor screening
  1.   Outpatient health assessment (blood exam, ultrasound, Pap smear), the Center added drug testing and chromosome examination.
  2.   Once the blood report results are qualified, the Center will conduct a donation qualification review to determine the eligibility for donation. It takes about 3 to 4 weeks to wait for the result.
  3.   Notification is in accordance with the qualification of the egg donor, wait for pairing
  • Audit matching

Once the recipients appear, they need to notify the HPA to conduct a qualification review and then pair them; after the successful pairing, will start the treatment.

  • Start the treatment

Daily injections are needed during the treatment (stimulation of egg maturation), and the egg size is reviewed 3-4 times (according to ultrasound, blood exam)

  • Oviposition surgery

After the egg is mature, the egg retrieval operation is performed; the operation time takes about 30 minutes. You don’t need to be hospitalized to take the eggs; you can go home and rest if you don’t feel unwell.

  • Receive nutrition fee

Return to the clinic three days after surgery, let the doctor assess your recovery and receive nutrition.

  3.   Entering the course of treatment may cause ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome due to the use of ovulation-stimulating drugs. The medication can be carefully evaluated by the physician to reduce the incidence of related complications.
  4.   The donor must bear the risk of anesthesia and the risk of the surgery itself:
  • Risk of anesthesia includes: nausea, vomiting, aspiration pneumonia, malignant hyperthermia, hypothermia, trembling, inadequate ventilation, throat cramps, tracheal fistula, respiratory tract injury, confusion, blood pressure, unstable heartbeat, myocardial infarction, stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, anesthesia allergy rate of about 0.01%) and so on. The incidence of death from anesthesia is one in 100,000.
  • Risk of surgery: A small number of patients may have side effects and complications such as bleeding, infection or other incidental diseases.  The hospital only provides basic information such as the height, weight, blood type and education of the donated donors. The other scholars’ personal resources will not be provided.

5.  Please carefully assess your physical condition and really understand the risks of medication, surgery, and anesthesia.

B)   Our doctor will assess and confirm if couples meet the requirements or qualifications for the need of an ova donation such as early failure of ovarian function or is a carrier of chromosomal diseases that needs such a donation to achieve pregnancy.

  • Start ART treatment

Recipient couples(sperm):

B)  Our doctor will assess and confirm if couples meet the requirements or qualifications for the need of a sperm donation such as azoospermia or is a carrier of chromosomal diseases that needs such a donation to achieve pregnancy.
